Every Safekeeping Receipt Safepro issues can be checked by anyone at any time, without logging in. This is what makes an SKR useful as evidence to a third party — you don't have to take the holder's word for it.
Checking a receipt
- 1
Get the SKR number or QR code
Both are printed on every Safekeeping Receipt certificate — the SKR number in a format like SPS-2026-XXXXXXXX, and a QR code beside it.
- 2
Scan the QR code, or enter the number
Scanning the QR code takes you straight to the result. Otherwise, go to Verify a Safekeeping Receipt and type in the SKR number.
- 3
Review the result
You'll see whether the receipt is authentic, its current status, its issue date, the asset summary (quantity, weight, declared value), and its digital signature details.
- 4
Check the custody and — where tracked — shipment status
The result also shows the custody status of the underlying asset, and, for receipts that track shipment, details like shipper/receiver, package details, and shipment history.
- 5
Download a verification certificate
Save or print a copy of the verification result for your own records.
Frequently asked
Do I need a Safepro account to verify a receipt?
No — verification is completely public. Anyone with the SKR number or the QR code can use it, with no sign-in required.
What does "authentic" actually mean here?
It means the receipt's digital signature checks out against its recorded content — the details haven't been altered since Safepro issued and signed it.
What if the receipt isn't found, or verification fails?
A "not found" result means no receipt matches that number — double-check it. A failed signature check means the receipt's authenticity could not be confirmed; treat it with caution and contact Safepro directly.
What does a "revoked" or "closed" status mean?
"Active" means the receipt currently represents assets in custody. "Closed" usually means the assets were fully released. "Revoked" means Safepro has invalidated the receipt — don't rely on it.
I'm a bank or auditor relying on this for due diligence — is this sufficient?
The verification result confirms the receipt's authenticity and current status as recorded by Safepro. For anything beyond that, contact Safepro directly.
